Peanut scare forces Coles to recall Wellness Road ABC Spread 250g

Coles is conducting a national recall of one of its nut butters with customers being told to return it due to a serious issue.

Coles Supermarkets is conducting a national recall of Coles Wellness Road ABC Spread.

Coles Supermarkets is recalling a spread after its label failed to note the possible presence of peanut.

The Coles Wellness Road ABC Spread 250g has been available in supermarkets and online nationally.

“The recall is due to the possible presence of an undeclared allergen (peanut),” Food Standards Australia New Zealand said on Friday.

“Any consumers who have a peanut allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed.”

Customers are advised they should return the spread to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The recall covers all date codes.
