‘Nearly choked’: Mum issues warning after shocking find in Aldi nuggets

Parents feeding their children chicken nuggets have been put on notice, after one mum found a choking hazard in her son’s favourite Aldi snack.

A mum has issued a dire warning to parents after she found an unusual addition in her son’s food that almost caused a medical emergency.

The mother’s three-year-old was devouring a pack of Aldi chicken nuggets when he almost choked on two sharp bones hidden in the favourite snack.

“My Mr 3 nearly choked on the bones that were in his (nuggets), thank goodness with some quick thinking he is OK,” the mum shared in Facebook Group Aldi Mums.

“I’ve continued to find a few more throughout the large bag.”

The discovery came as a surprise to the mum who stated she had never found bones in any nuggets she’s purchased previously.

While the brand of nuggets purchased from Aldi is unclear, several members of the group were grateful for the mum’s warning.

“Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be checking mine too,” one member said.

Meanwhile another urged the mum to inform Aldi about the incident.

“Please report to Aldi. I remember that bones were in hotdogs and they recalled them. I am glad your son is OK! How scary,” she said.

Others tried to make the best out of a hair-raising situation.

“At least you know they are made from real chickens,” another member said.

While the situation could have been worse, the incident serves as a reminder that not all chicken products across the board are boneless and children should be supervised when eating.

While the budget supermarket didn’t comment on the matter, Aldi encourages customers with any product issues to submit their feedback to Aldi directly via this form so it can be reviewed.
