Does your local supermarket have a walk-in cheese room, a sushi chef at hand and an Asian grocer hidden inside it?
Yeah, neither does ours.
But those living around the tiny suburb of Summer Hill in Sydney’s inner west do – they have all this and more at their Supa IGA.
The moment customers step foot inside the store, they’re greeted with an array of fresh produce, from baked goods, a gourmet deli, a seafood area and perhaps the most exciting – a walk-in cheese room.

The refrigerated room has shelves packed with hundreds of different types of cheese.
And if that’s not impressive enough, the supermarket also has rows upon rows of perfectly aligned grocery items and never-before-seen products.
There’s a reason why it’s been dubbed “next-level amazing” in a now viral TikTok video.
In the clip, shared by a Sydney foodie, she gives a tour of the store showing off the dessert bar, cheese room, salad bar and lolly section.

“Creme brulee cake, and an assortment of various cakes … doughnuts. They have the most amazing cheese room – look inside, wow, it is massive – a whole cheese room,” she says in the video.
“And then they have a whole Chinese market as well inside – they make sushi, they have so many drinks and the best range of products and look at the beautiful lanterns.
“And then they have all of these salads, all of these amazing meals … You have to see how beautiful and the neat the vegetables look. Wow, it’s amazing.
“And their lolly section – can’t get over it, so cute.”

The supermarket is largely known for its immaculately stocked items, neat presentation and friendly customer service having received more than 950 near-perfect reviews online.
“Amazing deli selection! If you want cold meats or cheese this IGA is perfect. I also can’t walk past the fresh popcorn when ever I walk in! Great service,” one person wrote in the reviews section.
Others said it is the “best” they have ever been to describing it as an “all-in one” store from its deli, butcher and sushi options.
Some pointed out the IGA was the perfect place for cheese lovers to shop because of its array of international and local varieties to choose from.
“This is one of the best supermarkets in the country. Unbelievable range, always well stocked and presented. The cheese room is superb. Worth a drive for your weekly shop.”
However, some also mentioned items can be costly at times.
“It has a special walk-in refrigerated glass room for cheese – very impressive. Went there with a friend who praises the place, but, I found it expensive,” one person said.
“Beautifully presented supermarket. The cheese room is something to behold. Fresh produce and meat are very expensive,” another person wrote, adding, “This is a place to shop for IGA catalogue specials on groceries which can be quite competitive to the big chain supermarkets. “Also nice to pick up some special treats that you can’t find elsewhere.”
