Reddit user slammed over how much Vegemite he uses

Australians have labelled a man ‘psychotic’ for his Vegemite ratio, proving there is truly nothing Aussies take more serious than the sacred spread.

There is not much Australians take more serious than Vegemite toast ratios, which has been proven once again by a man being labelled “psychotic” for his approach.

The man took to Reddit to shared a picture of his toast slathered in Vegemite and asked others to weigh in on a “critical national issue”.

“How much Vegemite is the right amount?” he asked.

He said he loved to cover the piece of toast entirely as he knew he would be able to taste it and be getting his vitamin B.

The man said his wife had a very different approach.

“She barely uses a quarter of a teaspoon and spreads it around and around,” he explained.

“Barely any covering and I swear you can see more butter than Vegemite. I argue that she isn’t going to taste it, but she argues I have burnt out my tastebuds by using too much for years upon years,” she said.

He said he loves his wife but it seems “un-Australian” and labelled it a “crying tragedy”.

“I love her to pieces, but it seems to me that she is being just a tad bit un-Australian. It’s a crying tragedy,” he wrote.

As expected, Australians on the forum-based social media site completely lost their minds over the image.

“I’m fairly certain this breaches the Geneva Conventions,” one said.

“Jesus f**k, your blood pressure must be insane. So. Much. Salt. Your wife’s approach is right. Yours is psychotic,” one social media user added.

But, not everyone was disapproving of the original poster’s take on how much Vegemite to use.

“You do you mate! I like a bit less, but I appreciate the effort to cover the surface,” one said.

One added: “You are right. I’m happy to see a fellow Vegemite enjoyer who knows how it’s done!”

”I actually doesn’t look to bad but it is a lot, you should still be able to see butter in my opinion,” one added.

Another said: “Your wife is wrong. You should divorce her and marry a real Aussie woman who understands and appreciates the beauty that is Vegemite!”
