‘Photoshop magic’: Woman’s awkward mud cake fail
A woman took to Facebook to share a photo of her supermarket mud cake makeover, but got a little more than she bargained for in the comments.
A woman’s attempt to show off her Woolworths mud cake hack has gone awry after eagle-eyed social media users spotted an odd detail in the background.
The woman took to Facebook’s Woolies/Coles Mud Cake Hacks group to share the floral-inspired mudcake.
She used two cakes from Woolworths, vanilla icing and a handful of rose petals on the cake, intended for a one-year-old’s birthday.
The woman accompanied the post with the caption: “My daughter’s first birthday party, made with two Woolies mud cakes. Ignore the subtitles on the ad!”
In the background, the TV was playing an advertisement with the words, “What is discharge?” 7 News reported.
People were in hysterics over the inopportune timing but in awe of the beautiful work on the cake.
One said: “The cake looks great. You might need some Photoshop magic on the background!”
Another added: “Quick phone edit, hopefully you got some without the discharge.”
Other members of the popular Facebook group did their best to help the woman.
Some added their own backgrounds on to the photograph, with one using flowers and blurring to hide the television.
