‘Going to get a KitKat commercial’: Albanese slammed for taking numerous breaks

A nostalgic sweet treat will now come in a new form, with many eager to get their hands on it.

KitKat has announced a Neapolitan flavour that will be available from early January.

Nectro, who goes by @nectoriouspapi online, tried the Neapolitan KitKat in November. He shared that the white chocolate acted as vanilla while the pink chocolate symbolised strawberry.

On the back it was covered in classic milk chocolate.

“It looks cool. Alright, I want to take a bite of each,” he told his social media following.

“This taste like you’ve got the Neapolitan ice cream and instead of scooping each flavour, you’ve scooped in the middle to get all three flavours.

“It tastes like that but with wafer.”

He said if you liked all three flavours in one hit, it would be a good chocolate bar for those people.

Many social media users were excited by the prospect.

“Oh my, I need to try this,” one social media user commented.

Another added: “I was waiting for you to eat all three flavours at the same time lol.”

“Omg it actually looks so yum,” one social media user said.

One added: “Stick them into the ice cream.”

“Ah the nostalgia from my childhood haha no more leaving the strawberry behind though,” one revealed.

The chocolate bar will retail for $2.50 for a small version and a block will be $7.

Melanie Chen, Nestlé Head of Marketing Confectionery, told news.com.au “We’re excited to launch KitKat Neapolitan for the summer season – it’s a trifecta of taste.

“With the new chocolate featuring classic flavours, it’s bound to spark a debate over which iconic ice-cream inspired flavour comes out on top.”

Last year Nestle, who owns Allen’s, made a huge change to the beloved red packaging.

The packaging was made to be matte, and in the process, reduced the amount of plastic the brand used.

Ms Chen said at the time there had been a number of packaging changes over the years but this was the most important.

“Allen’s lollies are here to bring smiles to Australians, and we want to keep doing that while reducing our impact on the environment, with a focus on reducing the amount of plastic we have in our packaging,” she told news.com.au.

“While Allen’s lolly bags will look and feel different, we believe Aussies will welcome this move towards using less plastic so they can enjoy their Allen’s lollies even more.”
