‘Need this in my life’: Tim Tam’s new flavour surprise

Bikkie baker extraordinaire Arnott’s has delighted Tim Tam lovers with an new flavour, with one fan calling it their “dream come true”.

Bikkie baker Arnott’s has delighted Tim Tam lovers with a surprise new flavour.

“Big news, Tim Tam fans,” the company said in a post announcing the new treat.

“We’re excited to announce the launch of our Tim Tam coconut cream flavour! Get ready to taste the perfectly indulgent combination of chocolate and creamy coconut flavour with our new tropical delight What more could you wish for?”

The indulgent creation is now available in the biscuit aisle exclusively at Coles supermarkets and Coles Express stores around Australia for $4.50.

One shopper called it a “dream come true”.

“Awesome, on my shopping list!” one Tim Tam lover cooed.

“I wish for a fridge full of them,” another said.

“It was yummmm,” confirmed a third.

Another fan said the would be testing the “slam-ability” of the new flavour combo, referring to the famous act of turning a Tim Tam into a straw to slurp up a hot drink.

Arnott’s hinted at the new flavour earlier this week when they posted to Facebook: “The hottest debate at Tim Tam HQ right now: Are coconut & chocolate the perfect combination?”

A poll showed that 73 per cent of Aussies loved the taste of coconut and chocolate together, Arnott’s said.

Arnott’s marketing manager Rebecca Chan said the new flavour would certainly bring a taste of “island life” to Aussie winter.

“Australians adore Tim Tam and we love making new flavour combinations for them that bring their favourite chocolate biscuit to life in innovative and exciting ways,” Ms Chan said.

“Coconut cream is a decadent addition to the range that will certainly bring that deliciously dream, island-life taste to Aussie households, and we can’t wait to hear what fans think of the new flavour.”
