McDonald’s re-releases Mighty Angus burger, launches Crème Brulée McFlurry

After a “short hiatus”, Macca’s has brought back a fan-favourite burger as part of its winter menu along with some other new additions.

In particularly delicious news today, McDonald’s has brought back two fan-favourite items as part of its winter offerings.

After a “short hiatus”, the beloved Mighty Angus burger has returned to its rightful place on the fast food giant’s menu, featuring two 100 per cent Aussie Angus beef patties, cheese, bacon, red onion, chunky tomato relish and McChicken sauce – all house in a “super soft gourmet bun”.

Joining the Mighty Angus – and no doubt much to the joy of cheese lovers nationwide – Macca’s has also reintroduced one of its most popular snacks: Mozzarella sticks with chunky tomato relish.

If you’ve got more of a sweet tooth – fear not; along with the return of the Mighty Angus and mozzarella sticks are two new desserts: the Crème Brulée McFlurry and Crème Brulée Pie.

The “mouth-watering” treats feature Macca’s iconic soft serve and pie pastry respectively, paired with smooth crème custard and burnt caramel filling.

While the pie is described as the “perfect winter warmer”, the Crème Brulée McFlurry – inspired by the classic French dessert – is comprised of vanilla ice cream, topped with pieces of Crème Brulée Pie and finished with a drizzle of warm caramel topping.

McDonald’s marketing director Tim Kenward said the items are “giving us another reason to get the gang together and cosy up this winter with delicious and returning menu items”.

“Our winter menu includes the iconic Mighty Angus, one of our customers’ most requested items, a brand-new range of desserts featuring Crème Brulée flavours, and Mozzarella Sticks for the snack lovers,” he added.

“These items offer delicious flavour combinations for every Aussie winter moment, whether it be a night in with family or a gathering with friends.”

The winter menu items are available now at Macca’s restaurants across Australia, including via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery, for a limited time only.
