McDonald’s releases Valentine’s Day menu item
Macca’s has announced a change to one of Australia’s favourite menu items in honour of Valentine’s Day – but you’ll have to get in quick.
McDonald’s has announced a big change to one of Australia’s favourite menu items – but it will be around for one week only.
From Wednesday, the fast food chain is launching a limited-edition Chicken McNuggets box, complete with pop-up heart-shaped handles, to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
However, customers will have to get in quick as the box is only available until February 14.
The limited edition box is solely for those buying a 10-pack of the chicken treat.
It also features the words “I love you” written in the top 10 languages spoken in Australia, based on ABS Census Data 2021.
As well as English, the boxes include Chinese, Punjabi, Arabic, Hindi, Vietnamese, Italian, Filipino/Tagalog, Hindi, Spanish and Greek.
McDonald’s Australia senior brand manager Maxine Netrayana said: “We’re all about sharing the love with our 10-piece Chicken McNuggets box this Valentine’s Day.
“Because everyone has their own way of saying ‘I love you,’ we’ve said it in 10 different languages on the box to reflect the many different backgrounds of our customers
and crew.
“It’s the perfect way to treat yourself or spread a little love this Valentine’s Day, whether it’s with your mates, family or someone special.”

To celebrate the loved-up day, Macca’s is also giving away a free 10-pack box with orders over $30 via UberEats, from tomorrow for a limited time.
This isn’t the first time that the global brand has turned the Chicken McNugget on its head for Valentine’s Day.
In 2022, Macca’s packaged a similar box of six nuggets in a Valentine’s Day box that featured a pop-up heart.
