McDonald’s announce limited edition items in menu shake up

McDonald’s has announced a new limited edition winter menu, featuring a twist on an iconic and beloved burger.

Customers will now be able to sink their teeth into a brand new burger, which is a twist on the iconic Quarter Pounder.

The burger, coined the Quarter Pounder BBQ Bacon and Crispy Onions, features a rasher of bacon, crispy onions and barbecue sauce, as well as a beef patty, pickles and cheese.

The Quarter Pounder Deluxe will also make a return to stores across the country, with lettuce, fresh tomatoes, pickles, beef patty, cheese, onions, tangy mustard, tomato sauce and McChicken sauce.

Also making a triumphant return is the Mozzarella Sticks with sweet chilli sauce.

McDonald’s Australia senior brand manager Liz Whitbread said cravings are sure to be satisfied with the new menu.

“Our winter menu is all about adding a seasonal touch on Macca’s classic flavours – debatably, it doesn’t get more iconic than the Quarter Pounder,” she said.

“With fresh twists on one of our most loved burgers, featuring exciting new flavour combinations and quality ingredients, we’re warming up Macca’s winter menu and satisfying those cravings this season.”

Customers can get their hands on the new menu items from Wednesday August 7 through drive thru’s, kiosks, front counter, and the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery.
