Macca’s is releasing a Milo McFlurry later this year
It might be one of the most anticipated releases from fast food giant McDonald’s Australia of 2023, with fans sharing their joy at the news.
Australian Macca’s fans are eager to see one dessert menu item released Down Under – but the release date hasn’t been confirmed.
Milo McFlurrys are about to hit Macca’s menus, after a photograph was posted to Instagram by food blogger @nectoriouspapi over the weekend.
A Macca’s spokesperson confirmed the delicious treat would be coming to Australia in 2023.
“We’re excited to confirm that the McFlurry made with MILO will be introduced to the menu later this year, for a limited time only,” the spokesperson told news.com.au
“We look forward to announcing more details soon.”
Although the restaurant has not confirmed a release date, the photo shared by the food blogger has suggested the McFlurry will be available between September 27 and November 7.
Social media users are incredibly excited about the ice cream hitting stores.
“Gotta be the GOAT,” one social media user said, using the acronym that stands for the “greatest of all time”.
One added: “F**king about time they brought this back! When McFlurrys first came out they had Milo and it was bomb. Now if only they would bring back the special machine that mixes them with the special spoon.”
Another tagged their friend and said it was the return of their favourite McFlurry.
Many social media users simply wrote “yum” or left a series of emojis under the photograph, such as the heart eyes emoji or the flame graphic.
Earlier this year, McDonald’s Australia released Maltesers McFlurry as part of a limited-edition menu items drop.
It’s not the first time the menu item has featured on Macca’s menus – it was previously a menu item back in 2012.
In the UK, it became a permanent menu item in 2019 after British customers became enthralled with the frozen treat.
