Macca’s drop two new McFlurry, Pie flavours

The fast food chain is running a trial of two delicious new menu items — but they’re only available at a handful of stores in one state.

Macca's drops two new epic desserts

If you’ve ever been craving a creme brulee and Macca’s soft serve then today is your lucky day.

From Thursday McDonald’s is launching not one but two new desserts, a creme brulee pie and creme brulee McFlurry at select outlets in NSW.

A McDonald’s spokesperson said the two new desserts would be available at Dapto, Wyong, Stanmore, Haberfield and Beacon Hill, teasing that it could come to stores nationally.

“We love testing out exciting new flavour combinations, and can’t wait to hear what customers think about the new Crème Brulee Pie and Crème Brulee McFlurry,” they told news.com.au.

“Who knows, it might make its way onto menus nationwide for a limited time.”

The pie replaces Macca’s classic apple pie filling with custard and caramel, while the McFlurry features broken-up pieces of the pie as topping, along with caramel sauce.

Sydney food blogger Adrian Widjonarko, who runs the popular Places in Sydney TikTok account, managed to try the two new desserts early.

He told news.com.au he preferred the creme brulee pie, however, warned people to not make the same mistake he did.

“With the two desserts I prefer the pie itself because I am just a huge fan of the pie,” he said.

“However in saying that, the McFlurry has extra caramel on top of the broken pies, so that’s a great addition of flavour to my McFlurry.

“Definitely eat it slowly to avoid burning your mouth like I did, because I was too eager!”

Mr Widjonarko also shared a video on his TikTok of the two desserts, saying he was “screaming” after trying both of them as they were “too good”.

Other Macca’s fans were excited too, with one person saying they “will be stopping” at the fast food chain to try it out.

“Oh my god,” another commented.

McDonald’s is no stranger to launching limited edition versions of its favourite desserts and last November unveiled a Tim Tam McFlurry.

The limited edition McFlurry featured biscuit pieces and chocolate sauce drizzled over the top of its famous self-serve ice cream.

Last year McDonald’s also released a Caramilk McFlurry, however, the dessert was hit with mixed reviews from diehard fans of the chocolate, who complained it didn’t stack up to the Cadbury block.
