KitKat collaborates with Drumstick for surprise new product
A popular Aussie chocolate bar will undergo a surprising transformation as it announces a collaboration with another iconic treat.
In exciting news for chocoholics around the country, the teams behind KitKat and Peters Drumsticks have joined forces for surprising new flavour.
In an ode to summer memories, they have created a KitKat inspired by Drumstick chocolate block.
The new bar boasts a double filling of creamy vanilla and chocolate sauce on top of KitKat’s iconic oven-baked wafer and coated in smooth milk chocolate - and it doesn’t need to be kept in the freezer.
Nestlé Head of Marketing, Confectionery Melanie Chen said the company is excited to bring the two icons together for “the coolest launch this side of summer”.
“KitKat lovers enjoy the combination of creamy and crunchy textures, and Drumstick is Australia’s favourite cone, so we know it’s the perfect partnership,” Ms Chen said.
“Taking the best of both loved products, this is one of the coolest and most delicious collaborations yet.”
She said the bar was sure to spark the “age-old debate of the best temperature to enjoy chocolate”.
“Whether at room temperature from the pantry or chilled from the fridge,” she said.
“We are adding ‘crisp from the freezer’ to this debate with this ice cream-inspired flavour as a new way for Aussies to treat themselves.”
No matter how people like to eat chocolate, the KitKat inspired by Drumstick is made to be enjoyed and shared year round.
The chocolate is now available at Woolworths and is coming to other retailers at the end of July.
