‘Insane’: Cult Cadbury freezer item finally sold in Coles, Woolworths

Chocolate giant Cadbury is releasing a beloved product from overseas in Coles and Woolies – but some have argued it’s “a little pricey”.

A cult Cadbury item beloved by Brits has finally launched in Australia – but some have argued the price is a little steep.

Peters Ice Cream has partnered with the iconic chocolate brand to launch Cadbury Choc Tops in Coles and Woolworths.

But while the $11.50 freezer item has been declared a “winner” by those who have already tried it, some have been left a little disappointed by its price.

Melbourne food blogger @nectoriouspapi said the ice cream cone – which contains vanilla ice cream coated in the brand’s iconic Dairy Milk – was “insane”.

“These have been out in the UK a while and we’ve finally we got them down under,” he told news.com.au.

“They taste just as good as the cinema versions we grew up with, but I’d argue, they are even better as there’s chocolate at the bottom of the cone too.

“However $11.50 is a little pricey. Some of my followers have joked ‘you need a second mortgage’, but the product is great, so I think it’s worth it.”

The frozen treat, which contains 348 calories, is sold in boxes of four – prompting many Aussies to declare they were “dying to try”.

“Yummmm,” one responded to the foodie’s recent video on TikTok.

“How much?” another asked.

As one stated: “I’ll be trying for sure.”

Peters Ice Cream has also collaborated with a popular US biscuit brand to create Oreo Cookie Tops, which one Aussie has already described as “10 out of 10 yum.”

The product, sold only in Woolworths, also retails at $11.50 for a pack of four.

It features a chocolate cone filled with vanilla ice cream and cookie pieces finished with a “Oreo cookie coating”.

Peters Ice Cream senior brand manager Vanessa Mason said the brand was excited to bring the two new “cinema treats” to Aussie supermarkets.
