‘Insane’: Domino’s launches ‘game changing’ menu item in Australia

Domino’s has added a new item to its Australian menu which has exploded in popularity, as many declare it “unbelievably delicious”.

How Innovations in Delivery Helped Domino’s Build a Pizza Empire

Domino’s has released a “game changing” new twist on its beloved pizzas that fans have described as “unbelievably delicious”.

The US pizza chain recently released the Pizza Pasta range in Australia, which as the name suggests, is a tempting mix of two classic Italian dishes.

Instead of using the traditional bread base, the pizza topping has been applied to a layer of pasta, to create an “unforgettable” mash-up.

“This is not pizza and pasta, this is pizza pasta,” Allan Collins, the pizza chain’s chief marketing officer in ANZ, said.

“We’ve brought two headline acts together for an unforgettable performance of flavour and texture.

“Real pizza ingredients, oven-baked with hot, tender al dente pasta, resulting in much-loved classics.”

In total there are six flavours, all spins on Domino’s most popular pizza toppings, including Simply Cheese, Firebreather and Meatlovers.

Aussies frothing over new Domino's menu item

Since launching at the start of May, TikTok has exploded with videos from excited diners raving about the new addition to Australian menus.

One Sydney woman, who ordered the mac and cheese option, described the creation as the “best $9” she’d ever spent.

While another, a former KFC employee, ordered the $13 meatlovers and labelled it “delicious”, adding the food item was also “weird” to eat because it tasted just “like the pizza”.

Others praised how many toppings were on the pastas, claiming their order came “fully loaded”.

“Mine was so cheesy,” one wrote on TikTok.

“I really appreciate that Domino’s weren’t stingy on the toppings,” another agreed.

However, some noted theirs was “disappointing”, prompting others to defend the Pizza Pasta range.

“I thought it was really good. I dunno what people are tripping about,” one stated.

“Agree. Was insane. Not sure why people are so mad for,” someone else responded.

The new menu items come after Domino’s launched the Burger Joint Pizza Range in August last year.

The pizzas featured popular burger flavours and even came complete with American burger cheese, butter pickles and special sauce.
