A well-known food brand has released the recipe for a “showstopping” burger – but upon closer inspection, it’s not what it seems.

Couples can now swap a traditional wedding cake for a three-tier cheeseburger after a well-known food brand released a jaw-dropping recipe.

Like any wedding cake, it uses eggs and flour – but this one also has 3.5kg of meat in it.

Condiment company Heinz, best known for its baked beans and tomato sauce, put a spin on the classic part of any bride and groom’s nuptials.

The tower serves 30 guests, and even caters to vegetarians with a top tier using a meat-free patty.

The bottom tier is 35cm cheeseburger. On top of that is a 30cm chicken burger and it is then topped with the veggie offering.

Heinz created it for National Burger Day in the UK, on August 25, The Sun reports.

In Australia, it is celebrated three days later on August 28 – meaning we can get in on the bread-filled action too.

But making the burger cake is not for the faint-hearted. There are a total of 65 steps to get to the finished product.

“The recipe for the showstopping burger tower can be given to catering partners or even taken on by brave couples themselves at home,” Heinz marketing manager Jenina Carroll-Goldin said.

According to the recipe, the buns alone require 16 eggs, 15.5 cups of flour and four packets of yeast.

It needs 2kg of beef, 1.5kg of chicken mince and 750g of beyond meat mince.

And, of course, each layer is topped with a different Heinz sauce – ketchup [tomato sauce] on the bottom, mayo in the middle and mustard at the top tier.

Of course, if you aren’t getting married but really love burgers, there’s nothing stopping you from making the burger cake – just cause you can.
