Lunar New Year is an important holiday for people from countries such as China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Mongolia and Malaysia.
This year, Lunar New Year will be on January 22 - it changes each year depending on the lunar cycle.
It comes after the Aussie chocolatier’s 2022 Luxury Advent Calendar, had a staggering price tag of $1190, but it didn’t stop eager shoppers snapping up the high-end item well before Christmas trees have been dragged out of storage cupboards.
The luxury item features 24 boxes, each filled with several limited edition chocolates, some of which are exclusive to the calendar.
They include the never-before-seen dark orange fondant-filled frogs, milk chocolate lemon meringue pie, and 70 per cent cocoa solids gin liqueur.
The advent calendar’s packaging is also pretty as a picture, based on the confectioner’s first Haigh’s Chocolates store at Beehive Corner in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall.
