A Gold Coast teenager has nabbed $20,000 for a unique corn chip she found in a packet of Doritos that went viral on Tik Tok.

A Gold Coast teenager has been given $20,000 after a unique corn chip found in a packet of Doritos went viral on Tik Tok.

Rylee Stuart, 13, will be given $20,000 from the chip brand after she found the one-of-a-kind crisp and brought it to the nation’s attention.

The Coomera resident first took to TikTok, posting a video of the chip four days ago.

“Is it valuable or should I just eat it?” she wrote.

“Tell me please.”

The post went viral and has since had more than 2.9 million views.

The “puff dorito” was listed for sale on eBay at a starting price of $0.99 plus $6.20 postage.

Within days, bidding for the chip had exploded to $20,000 and it later achieved bids of up to $100,000.

It has since been taken down.

In a follow up post, Miss Stuart told her 11,600 followers the sale was an experiment.

“We're not taking this seriously. We just want to see what happens,” she said.

“We might not even get bids but it's all part of the experiment.”

Doritos Australia decided to reward the Queenslander for her “bold entrepreneurship” and “ingenuity ” after the discovery of the puffy shaped chip.

“It’s been a whirlwind couple of days for Rylee and her family and we’ve loved following her story,” the company’s chief marketing officer Vandita Pandey said.

“We’ve been so impressed with Rylee’s boldness and entrepreneurial spirit, so we wanted to make sure the Stuart family were rewarded for their creativity and love for Doritos.”

Since Miss Stuart’s unique eBay listing, other people have followed suit, hoping to profit from “one of a kind” puffed chips.
