Filthy raw chicken scene spotted in middle of Sydney’s CBD
The public was left mortified over a grotesque scene captured in the heart of Sydney over the weekend, striking concern for consumers.
A horrific scene captured in Sydney’s CBD has left the public horrified and fearing enormously for the safety standards of a nearby business.
Two people were spotted leaving a foul dribble of meat juice from an open case of raw chicken near Central Station on Sunday evening, reportedly destined for a local restaurant.
The display was captured by an onlooker and uploaded online where it has since evoked a strong reaction from hundreds of Australians.
“Raw chicken getting carried in the open without any cover by local restaurant spotted near Broadway/Central,” the social media post read.
There was particular concern for customers of the restaurant that would ultimately consume the meat, given the meat was being exposed to the city’s pollution.
Many said they were worried the chicken would make its eventual consumers sick.
“Now THAT’S a salmonella carrier,” one person responded.
“Bruh … it’s even leaking the chicky juice everywhere,” another wrote.
“Would you like a side of Salmonella to go with your order?” someone else commented.
The post did not disclose where the duo had come from or which establishment they were delivering to, so it was unclear how long the raw chicken was exposed to the elements.
Some took the opportunity to poke fun at the scene, with one writing: “I guess we now know how the chicken crossed the road”.
“It’s part of the process of how they get the 11 herbs and spices,” someone else said.
“Cigarettes, exhaust, dirt and piss … I wonder what the other seven are?” another joked.
Others couldn’t get past the leaking trail of juice.
“Yuck the leaking chicken juice,” one said.
“OMG chicken juice is spilling out!” another added.
