Fast food chain KFC announces huge Christmas in July promotion

It’s no secret that the cost of living is hitting Australians hard, one popular fast food chain is trying to help ease that stress.

It’s no secret that the cost of living is hitting Aussies where it really hurts – their wallets. One popular fast food chain is trying to help ease that stress.

KFC will introduce 31 Days of Deals from July 1, such as 30 nuggets for just $10, 50 per cent off Zinger burgers and 10 for $10 Hot and Crispy.

However, the big kicker is that the brand is offering to pay the rent of four Australians for an entire year as part of its Christmas in July offering.

It comes after KFC discovered that 70 per cent of people who still live with a parent or a guardian are embarrassed to admit that. One in four say that it is impacting their social life.

It will also sell merchandise, such as the KFC Conversation Card Game, with proceeds going to the KFC Youth Foundation and its charity partners ReachOut Australia and Black Dog Institute.

A quarter of Australians in this position reveal that they want to be in a different living situation by the end of the year. The number one reason preventing Aussies from moving out is that they can’t afford housing costs, with 56 per cent of people citing this as their number one issue.

This is followed by saving money for something such as travel or education, with 42 per cent saying this was their reason, followed by looking for stable income.

More than 60 per cent of Australians feel they will need to save up $10,000 to move out of home and live independently.

All Aussies need to do in order to land themselves in the running for free rent is to jump on the KFC app and purchase a deal. If you spend over $30 in one go, you get five entries.

As part of the Christmas in July promotion, the fried chicken chain is also bringing back its very popular Christmas in July Feast.
