Doughnuts, is there anything they can’t do?
IN THE wise words of Homer J Simpson, “doughnuts, is there anything they can’t do?”.
THE newest desert craze to hit the sweet obsessed world we live in uses an old favourite, and gives it a new use.
Meet the doughnut ice-cream cone.
The good people at Adriano Zumbo, or as I like to call them, the Fairy Godmothers of sweets, have answered the calls of Australians and brought soft serve doughnut cones to Australia. They’re currently being served at Little Frankie’s in South Yarra, Melbourne, but are on their way to Sydney in the coming weeks.
Why have they blessed us with such sweet kindness?
“The doughnut ice cream cones are currently a big food trend overseas. A lot of people were tagging us in the articles, saying we should make them. So we did! We have to give the people what they want!” an Adriano Zumbo spokesman said.
You can choose from eight toppings: gummy bears, jelly beans, pretzels, cookies, pop rock choc shards, 100s and 1000s and popcorn.
Now go forth and devour. You’re welcome.
