A concerned Aldi customer has urgent the grocery giant to recall a staple product after making a shocking discovery.
A concerned Aldi customer has raised alarm bells after making a surprise discovery in his son’s can of tuna.
The Queensland shopper urged the grocery giant to recall their Portview Tuna Treats when he found “bits of wire” inside his son’s food pack.
In footage shared to Twitter, the worried father used a square magnet to show the alleged pieces of thin metal inside the snack.
“Aldi Australia [I’m] asking for a recall on Portview Tuna Treats,” the dad tweeted.
“My son had what appeared to be bits of wire in his tuna.”

An ALDI representative responded to the online post and said they were “concerned to see this and would like to investigate further”.
The customer was encouraged to complete a product feedback or inquiry form to resolve the issue.
The discovery comes after the supermarket’s German office announced up to 400 products will become “significantly more expensive”.
