Aldi is set to launch two Special Buys ranges — the first on January 8 and the second on January 11 — to help with back to school.
The first drop includes items such as leather Mary Jane school shoes, which retail for $24.99, notebooks for as little as 65 cents and pens starting at 95 cents.
There are also backpacks and lunch boxes both aimed at high school and primary school students.
The second release is all about technology. Some standout items include the 14-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Slim Laptop, that is selling for $299.
Other items include the $189 Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 64GB and a seven-inch Kid’s Tablet for $89.99. There is also a range of charging cables and cases for devices available for shoppers to buy.
“We understand that back-to-school season can be both hectic and costly for parents, so we’ve made convenience and value a priority when it comes to preparing for the year ahead,” an Aldi spokesperson told news.com.au.
“Aldi carefully curated ‘Back to School’ range of Special Buys offers all the essentials at affordable prices. Whether it’s durable leather shoes or sturdy backpacks, to quality stationery and upgraded tech, or a leakproof lunch box, Aldi has you covered.”
It’s a range that Aldi customers wait all year for.
“I know it’s early but don’t want to miss it. Anyone know when Aldi has their back to school special buys? Love their labels and need more for next year,” one asked in December.
Another asked in 2020: “Back to School … Anyone know when it’s coming out? I keep checking the website but so far nothing coming up … It must be soonish? First year having a book list and I am keen to get it done hahaha Plus I need to find a backpack so waiting to see what Aldi have to offer before ordering online!”
One reported back after their first experience in the sale: “Anyone braved the queues this morning for Back to School Sale? Did you find everything you went for? How was the rush at your local? Mine was pretty civilised and I nearly found everything I went for.”
