One major supermarket in Australia has brought back a popular range that set customers into a frenzy in 2023.
One major supermarket has brought back a popular range that sent customers into a frenzy.
Aldi’s Crofton Seafood Dinnerware is back. Just like last year, fans are rushing into store to get it. Social media has been flooded with people raving about it.
The range has been compared to In The Roundhouse. The designer brand sells it’s trademark lobster platter dish for $50. Meanwhile, its plates retail for $29.
Tiana Loftus took to TikTok to share she and her housemate scored a massive haul of the range from Aldi’s latest Special Buys sale.
“Last year, I was lucky enough to get these dinner plates and I’ve been loving them so much I thought I needed to get a few more pieces,” she said.
For her, the standout was the serving platter. She pointed to the scored edges, saying she was “literally dying” over it. She also called it “cute”.
Meanwhile, Kara Hansen took her followers along with her in the hopes of getting her hands on the range.
“I did not expect to find anything but my store had everything,” the excited woman said.
“I ended up leaving with four small side plates and three dip bowls. This is the perfect collection if I have people coming over.”
She also said the tea towels would make the perfect gift.
Social media users were equally impressed.
“Oh god they’re all gorgeous. To Aldi I go,” one person commented.
Another said: “OMGGGG ITS SO CUTE!!!”
“Aw love, you have influenced me,” one social media user added.
The new items in the collection include a $19.99 tablecloth that comes in various seafood designs, the grill pan set or grill basket for $9.99 and the five-in-one stainless steel grill set for $29.99.
But, some favourites have returned. This includes the $6.99 seafood dinnerware assortment, the $14.99 seafood serving dish that comes in oval, rectangle or scallop and $3.99 oyster forks and prawn desheller.
Earlier this year, Kmart also released a range that was compared by fans to In The Roundhouse. The popular retailer released a collection of poolside plates, made of plastic, that feature bright designs such as lobsters on them. Kmart sold items for $8.
Alyce Tran, the woman behind The Daily Edited, created In The Roundhouse with Brooke Bickmore, who is the editor of David Jones Magazine.

At the time of the collection being released, Ms Tran spoke to news.com.au about brands “duping” her business.
“As a small Australian business working with local Australian artists we are so incredibly proud that we have somewhat created an aesthetic and genre in this category of product that is clearly so strong that any product that looks similar is associated with our brand,” Ms Alyce told news.com.au.
“We’d love to be given the opportunity to collaborate with these larger retailers to help their businesses and ours grow in the ecosystem and would love to hear from them!”
