‘Addictive’: $3.50 Aldi fan favourite item returns to stores
Devoted Aldi customers who feared they'd never taste their favourite chocolate bar again have rushed to stores following its unexpected comeback.
A popular Aldi item has returned to shelves after shoppers were concerned it had disappeared forever.
Knoppers NutBar is typically a limited edition treat at Aldi, however one Reddit user took to the forum website recently to share a snap of the chocolate bar on the conveyor belt at the German supermarket chain.
“Guess who’s back. Straight in the trolley,” the Reddit user captioned the image.
news.com.au understands that Knoppers are available all year around. However, the nutbar variety is slightly different.
The NutBar three pack, which retails for $3.49, returned to Aldi this week for a limited time only.
Fellow social media users expressed their excitement at the chocolate bar’s fleeting return.
“These are dangerous for me. They’re far too addictive, I can never stop at one,” one person commented.
Another said: “Nooo I was just at Aldi yesterday and didn’t see these. This is the first I’ve heard of them, but if I’d seen them I definitely would’ve nabbed them.”
“YES! My daughters favourite. Guess who’s going to Aldi this afternoon,” a social media user commented.
Another said: “Ohhh I haven’t tried these! I get so stuck on the Pallazzos lol. I was just in Aldi earlier, dang, will look out for these next time! Going by the comments they’re worth a go.”
“These things are amazing. Not a biscuit or wafer person but this is the only exception,” one weighed in.
Fans of the chocolate bar reported last month that Knoppers — the original kind — were hard to find n Melbourne.
“Has anyone seen the amazing crispy wafer snack that is a Knopper? We buy it every week at Aldi but for the last few they haven’t been in stock. Has anyone seen them or know what’s going on,” one Reddit user commiserated.
Others said they’d also experienced similar issues as the original poster.
“Love Knoppers. Noticed it was out of stock last time I was at Aldi also,” one commented.
Another said: “There was heaps in my local this past weekend. Hampton Park if anyone would like to know.”
“They were out of stock at my local for a few weeks earlier this year- I think with the weirdness of the world, Aldi is just getting some temporary glitches in its supply chain, with some extended shortages. I’m sure they’ll be back soon.” one commented.
As one shopper added: “I hope they come back. Aldi has some good stuff.”
