An award-winning distillery from South Australia — 23rd Street — has unveiled its first-ever Whisky & Cola RTD range, crafted for the discerning tastes of the modern aficionado.

At the same time it has released its first-ever Australian Whisky.

Those behind the new dram claim it is a testament to the distillery’s commitment to crafting exceptional, storied expressions inspired by their surroundings.

“We invested a significant amount of time in the early stages of creating our new Australian Whisky range ensuring we could answer some very important questions; what do Australians want in Whisky and is there opportunity to insert our brand into the fiercely competitive imported Whisky category,” says Sarah Camerlengo, 23rd Street Brand Manager.

Meticulously crafted, the new Australian Whisky from 23rd Street Distillery is a tribute to local artisans and ingredients, the culmination of a four-year-long project.

Matured in the historic Barrel Hall in South Australia’s Riverland, the climate here -characterised by warm, dry summers and mild winters - is ideal for producing a whisky with a bold, distinctive flavour that speaks to its Australian roots.

“This new Whisky range is made by Australians for Australians, and it is designed to be enjoyed any way you like. In a glass on ice, in a fancy cocktail or with a can in hand enjoying good food and good company,” says Sarah.

With a glinting golden amber colour, rounded malt flavours and rich honey characters are evident on the palate, with toasty oak and oily nuttiness to finish. The new Australian Whisky range celebrates the bold spirit of Australia.

The 23rd Street Australian Whisky range includes:

Australian Whisky – 40% - 700mL

Aromas reveal citrus, orange blossom and caramelised fruit. On the palate, sweet oils and biscuity malt are framed by vanillin oak. Dark chocolate spice, roasted nut and toffee notes unfold toward a lingering, creamy finish.

Australian Whisky & Cola - 5% and 8% variations - 375mL

The full, malty flavours of 23rd Street Australian Whisky are blended with classically refreshing cola, ready for you to take anywhere. Enticing aromas of spice and citrus are followed by satisfyingly full flavours of oak, vanilla and toffee warmth.

The 8% is a whisky-dominant blend, crafted to be savoured when you seek a bolder expression of spirit.
