A crave-worthy snack will return to Hungry Jack’s stores nationwide after requests to the fast-food giant’s social media.

Chicken fries will relaunch on May 21 at stores across the country, marking a long-awaited return for diehard chicken fans.

First introduced in 2015, chicken fries have become a fixation for many users online and even featured in a 2019 petition.

Comments left on Hungry Jack’s socials called on the chain to “please bring back chicken fries”, and “I need chicken fries back”.

Hungry Jack’s marketing director Luke Pavan said Hungry Jack’s was continuously driving “snacking innovation” and unique packaging.

“We utilised packaging to enhance the product innovation, creating a distinctive design that highlights the playful chicken fries character,” he said.

“Hungry Jack’s takes pride in delivering on its brand promise to develop great tasting products, and chicken fries are no exception.”

The iconic snack will be sold in orange-coloured fries-like packets featuring a cartoonish chicken face.

The fries themselves are made with 100 per cent chicken breast with a crispy coating and seasoned with herbs and spices.

Earlier this month, Hungry Jack’s also revived its cult Big Jack and Mega Jack burgers after a trademark dispute.

The burgers returned after a lengthy legal battle with McDonald’s, which claimed they resembled the Big Mac.
