Aldi shopper reveals ‘genius’ must- try trolley hack
Aldi cashiers are some of the world’s fastest scanners, but one woman has revealed a clever way to keep up with their lightning speed.
We’ve all been there at some point – arriving at the Aldi checkout and mentally preparing the quickest way to pack your groceries so you’re not the one holding up the queue.
The German supermarket is known to have possibly the world’s fastest cashiers who often leave you frantically trying to scramble all your items into a bag or trolley.
But one customer has found a way to finally put the stress and struggle of Aldi packing behind them.
In a video posted to the popular Facebook group Aldi Mums, the Australian woman revealed that her “genius” technique works when there is a second trolley involved.

She also said it’s a two-person job so having her husband there is key.
“This is how you do it ladies,” she captioned the clip which shows her husband keeping up with the super-fast cashier.
Working in tandem, her husband places the trolley at the end of the checkout and simply flicks the items in as the worker scans them – while she finishes unloading the rest at the other end of the belt.
The clip shows the man quickly and swiftly sliding items such as salad dressing, frozen pizza, ham and baby wipes into the second trolley.
After this, you can then move the trolley to the packing area to place in grocery bags or just take it straight to your car.

Facebook users wasted no time applauding the couple’s quick trick, describing it as “genius”.
“We’ve been packing it wrong all this time,” one person wrote.
“My hubby does this while I stand poised with card at the ready. No holdups from us Boomers,” another added, while others said they already use the method.
“That’s how I do it. I look at the checkout person and give the nod, then it’s game on,” one shopper said.
“Literally how I do it. Is there any other way?” another added.
One woman said she was going so fast, the cashier had to tell her to slow down.
“I’ve done similar and was told by the cashier that I was going too fast for him to keep up and that I should put my resume in!”
“Honestly it’s snail speed here in comparison to Germany. The checkout there was my weekly workout, no gym needed,” a second person joked.
Earlier this year, another Aldi shopper revealed her trick to make packing groceries easier.
Posting in the same Facebook group, Aldi Mums, the woman shared how she had taken to using two large plastic tubs with handles whenever she shopped at the discount supermarket chain.
The tubs “fit perfectly into the trolley and so easy to get in and out of the car”, the mum wrote in her post alongside a snap of her technique.
When it came to going through the cash register, the mum explained that she had a system that maximised space in the tubs.

“I put the heaviest items in the front tub so that they come out first onto the belt and then I distribute the heavy things evenly into the two tubs after they’ve been swiped through the register,” she explained. “You’ll be surprised how much you can fit into them.”
Other mums were quick to praise her idea, with one person joking that the woman was “winning the war on the fast checkout assistant”.
