AUSSIE designer Alex Perry has hit Hollywood big time thanks to the woman all women love, Sandra Bullock.

With rumours of a Bullock and Clooney romance, all eyes were on the Hollywood A-lister at the 70th Venice International Film Festival recently when she glowed in a $695, tri-colour body-conscious dress by Alex Perry.

Leading international stylist Elizabeth Stewart, whose clients include Cate Blanchett, Julia Roberts, Sophia Vegara and Jennifer Lawrence has taken a real style shine to Perry.

There are rumours Alex Perry's gowns may even hit the Emmys red carpet in a few weeks.

Synonymous with style and red carpet va-va voom, Alex Perry is undoubtedly one of Australia's most celebrated and enduring designers.

And in a terrific turnaround, he has recently taken a more directional and relaxed fashion approach when designing his collections recently.

While retaining the brand's exquisite attention to detail, the Resort 2014 collection - of which Bullock's 'Ariel' halter dress is a part - is a move towards a more chic and directional vision.

And the good news? The gelato-inspired dress will be available for all Aussie girls to buy from November 1.
