Richard Wilkins’ son Christian turns heads at Johanna Johnson show at MBFWA

NOT many people know who he is, but judging from these pictures, you would have thought Christian ‘‘The Prince’’ Wilkins was the star of Johanna Johnson’s runway show on Thursday.

NOT many people know who he is, but judging from these pictures, you would have thought Christian ‘‘The Prince’’ Wilkins was the star of Johanna Johnson’s runway show on Thursday.

The son of entertainment editor Richard Wilkins ensured all eyes were on him at Johnson’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week parade, as he played it up for the cameras prior to the start of the show.

Wilkins, who is now a regular on the red carpet alongside his famous father, could be seen flapping his custom made Johanna Johnson white silk cape in the face of front-row onlookers, including the Vogue Australia team of Edwina McCann and Christine Centenera, who he was later seen apologising to.

The self proclaimed Prince wasn’t the only one to cause a double take on the streets of Carriageworks.

Alleged street style stars desperate to catch the eye of waiting photographers donned everything from bunny ears to retro pink sequin puffer jackets in a bid to get noticed.
