THE Duchess of Sussex was just named People magazine’s Best Dressed Star of 2018. So to celebrate we’ve rounded up her 10 best outfits.

MEGHAN Markle has just been crowned People magazine’s best dressed star of 2018.

The Duchess of Sussex consistently nails her outfits, even though she has some tricky royal rules to contend with.

To celebrate her new fashion title, we’ve rounded up her 10 best style moments.

10. THAT TIME SHE WORE AUSSIE DESIGNERS

During a reception with delegates from the Commonwealth Youth Forum at the COAG meeting in April, Meghan teamed her Altuzarra dress with a Camilla and Marc blazer and Oroton bag.

9. WHEN SHE WORE A GIVENCHY SUIT

Her wedding dress was designed by Givenchy and the Duchess decided to team up with creative director Clare Waight Keller during her visit to Dublin in July.

8. THAT TIME SHE NAILED CORPORATE CHIC

The Duke and Duchess attend loads of buttoned-up events where conservative corporate attire is required, but Meghan always manages to make her look chic and not boring.

In April, the couple joined now former British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson at a women’s empowerment reception during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

For the event Meghan wore this $US375 ($A520) dress by American brand Black Halo, styled up with a Gucci clutch.

7. WHEN SHE MADE A TRENCH COAT WORK AS A DRESS.

Trench dresses work well in theory, but often you can get swallowed whole by all that fabric.

But Meghan look chic in this pink trench dress by Canadian brand House of Nonie during a visit to the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition in London in July.

6. RIP TO THE OLD MEGHAN

Oh, the good old days. This photo is from February, before Meghan and Harry were married. Back then, Meghan wore her hair down in messy beach waves, wore pants, boots and man-style military coats with crossbody bags.

She managed to put Scottish bag brand Strathberry on the map with this look and the bag quickly sold out.

5. WHEN THE BLACK SUITS JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER

Despite reports Prince Harry is not a fan of Meghan’s suits, she keeps on wearing them and looking like a boss.

So far she’s worn Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and now this suit by Altuzarra just the other day during the annual WellChild awards in London.

4. SHE WON GAME, SET AND MATCH AT WIMBLEDON

When Serena Williams made her return to tennis at Wimbledon in July after giving birth to her daughter just months before, the Duchess made an appearance in the Royal Box to support her friend.

She wore a super chic Ralph Lauren blue striped shirt and white palazzo pants. And she didn’t get a single stain on them — impressive.

The Duke and Duchess attended a special gala performance of the hit musical Hamilton in London last week.

Many style commentators often complain that Meghan wears clothes that are too big for her. Remember her wedding dress?

With her petite frame, she needs things to be super tailored, otherwise she looks like she’s being swamped.

1. THE SECOND WEDDING DRESS

Critics were divided on the dress Meghan wore during her wedding ceremony — Was it too big? Did anyone iron it? — but everyone agreed this Stella McCartney number she wore to the reception was modern, sexy and stunning.
