NYFW: Emily Ratajkowski stuns in $73 Zara dress

Model Emily Ratajkowski has her pick of the world's top designer clothes — which makes her budget fashion week outfit so surprising.

Emily Ratajkowski might have her choice of clothes from the world’s top designers at New York Fashion Week, but that hasn’t stopped her from wearing a chain store dress.

The model stepped out over the weekend looking stunning at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party wearing a sleek one shoulder red dress.

But the most striking detail of her dress was the price — it retailed for $US50 (SA73) and is available from Zara.

Ratajkowski paired her chain store dress with black stilettos by Merah Vodianova that comes with a slightly steeper price tag, retailing for $US432 ($A630).

The 28-year-old revealed she opted for the bargain fashion week item on Instagram, sharing a photo of herself at the event and writing in the caption: “Btw this dress is Zara.”

The Gone Girl star’s followers were quick to praise her look, with influencer Stephanie Shepherd writing: “I hope they gave you stock.”

“Everybody is going crazy on Zara’s website right now,” one person wrote, while another added: “Zara’s website probably crashed after this.”

Unfortunately, for Australian fans of Ratajkowski’s dress, Zara has confirmed it isn’t available here, however it hasn’t ruled out the dress coming to our stores eventually.

Ratajkowski is quite the Zara fan and famously opted to wear a yellow suit from the brand for her surprise wedding to Sebastian Bear-McClard in February last year.

The Easy star’s Zara dress also isn’t her first outfit to turn heads at this year’s New York Fashion Week.

Last week, Ratajkowski stepped out in a bikini top from her line Inamorata, the “Las Olas Top”, which retails for $US75 ($A110).

Ratajkowski paired the white bikini top with a black coat, matching pants and a brown handbag as she attended the Daily Front Row Awards lunch.

Despite the revealing outfit showing off an incredibly toned stomach, Ratajkowski has said on multiple occasions she doesn’t work out that much.

“I am not a big gym person,” she toldInStylein 2017. “I really like being outside and doing yoga, so I do a lot of hiking in LA, and I have a yoga studio really close to my house that I go to like once a week.”
