THEY say opposites attract, but those words couldn’t be further from the truth for Imogen Anthony who says she and her shock jock boyfriend Kyle Sandilands are “the same person”.

The duo began dating in 2011, after Sandliands 40th birthday in June.

Now, after seven years together, the pair have made a life together. The pair have bought a farm in the NSW town of Robertson, and Anthony says while their lifestyle may be colourful on social media, more often than not they spend their nights like any other couple.

“Social media has a perception of showing you what you want to see … but for us, there is a lot of sitting around doing f**king nothing,” she told news.com.au.

“We have quiet nights all the time … that’s all we do is quiet nights, like sitting in front of Netflix where we have shows we watch constantly.

“But we have things being constant too. We have a farm, he’s up at 4.30am, so it can be a bit crazy.”

Imogen Anthony presented one of the awards at the Cosmo Women of the Year event in Sydney.

The 27-year-old said she and Kyle were the same person of different genders, but he required a little more mothering as he got older.

“Kyle is constant,” she said. “I have to make sure he’s well and has got a voice and he’s fed and all the rest of it.

“All men, I don’t care what anyone says, they start to regress back to being like teenagers as they get older and they need to be mothered a little bit more.

“So that's what I mean, I babysit one 24/7.

“But we are exactly the same person, just a male and female version 20 years apart.

“I don’t think we could live without each other.”

Sandilands and Anthony are one of Sydney’s most colourful couples but enjoy the quiet life in the countryside

Anthony was a guest speaker at the 2018 Cosmo Women of the Year awards in Sydney on Thursday, and lead a star-studded guest list to the annual lunch.

Sylvia Jeffreys, Ksenija Lukich, Laura Byrne and dumped Bachelor contestants Sophie Tieman and Brittany Hockley stepped out for the awards events.

Anthony arrived in an elaborate golden hat, sheer off-the-shoulder bodice, and skin-coloured tights.

The model and animal lover said despite presenting an award at the event, she has an immense fear of public speaking.

“Get me naked in front of a runway, or wearing some oyster looking hat, but when it comes to public speaking I’m not very good,” she said.

Last month, Anthony got in her comfort zone and stripped down for a nude photoshoot with a puma.

The image was taken at a Sydney wildlife sanctuary to promote an upcoming charity ball that will be hosted by the couple this month.

Some of Anthony’s following questioned why she needed to be naked next to the animal for the photograph.

“It isn’t necessary,” Anthony replied back to a critic. “It’s because I wanted to be naked. I like being naked, especially when photographed with animals because I think being naked is like being in purest form. It’s more a statement, and yes for shock value, but I don’t necessarily think there’s anything wrong with it? Sex sell. LOL.”

She was forced to defend her partner in September after Sandilands was repeatedly off work, with gastro, with former NRL star Beau Ryan stepping in alongside Jackie O.
