THE son of Today Show host Christian Wilkins threw all the fashion rules out the window last night at the David Jones Spring Summer launch.

THE son of Today Show host Christian Wilkins threw all the fashion rules out the window last night at the David Jones Spring Summer collections launch in Sydney.

The 22-year-old rocked a sheer blouse and a full A-line skirt at the VIP dinner event for 300 guests at the David Jones store on Elizabeth Street.

Wilkins joked on Instagram that he’d “skipped lunch” to make sure he looked good for the event.

Wilkins recently spent 10 days living it rough around Melbourne for the SBS documentary Filthy Rich and Homeless.

It was a shock to the system to the man who calls himself “the Prince” and says he usually spends his Saturday night in a bubble bath with a glass of wine, not on the street.

But he says the experience changed him for the better.

“It was definitely scary,” he told news.com.au in June.

“The first night before I went to sleep I asked for a bit of money and I got told I was scum and should get a job.

“Something you quickly realise is that even though you’re in the middle of the city, it is incredibly lonely and incredibly isolating,” he said.

The Sydneysider currently works full-time at Channel 9 as a social media producer.
