Myer Spring Summer 2014 fashion collection launches tonight
HARRY Kewell will join Jen Hawkins, Kris Smith and Julia Nobis on the runway tonight for Myer's Spring Summer launch.
MYER will unveil its much anticipated Spring Summer 2014 Collection tonight in a mega runway show in an enormous sound stage at Sydney's Fox Studios.
Australia's red carpet regulars and fashion leaders will gather to see what the retailer's ambassadors, Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith, have up their style sleeves as spring and summer designer looks are unveiled for the coming season.
Joining the pictorially pleasing duo tonight will be international uber model, Julia Nobis, and making his runway debut is international soccer star Harry Kewell, who will have his Politix menswear ambassador hat on.
"The collections this season are seriously stunning," Jennifer Hawkins, who admits being a fan of spring dressing, told news.com.au
"And for this season I'm really loving all of these monochrome graphic prints, lots of bright pops of colour and good, fun florals."
Guest expected tonight include Lauren Phillips and Laura Dundovic as well as Bridget and Frances Abbott, Jodhi Meares, Jodi and Braith Anasta, Dr Chris Brown, Didier Cohen, Rachael Finch, Kate Peck, Danielle Spencer, Lindy and Michael Klim, Gigi Edgley and Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Vintage.
Myer's Australian designers including Heidi Middleton of sass & bide, Gabrielle, Cheryl and Vanessa Manning from Manning Cartell, Yeojin Bae, Aurelio Costarella, Kym Ellery, Jayson Brunsdon, Toni Maticevski, Karen Walker, Nicola Finetti, Leona Edmiston, Arthur Galan, Wayne Cooper, Dom Bagnato and Nick Demkiw of Autonomy.
Womenswear trends we can expect to see include:
*Black and White: monochrome, geometric stripes and blocks.
Spring & summer is strongly monochrome with dresses, pants, shirts, striped, patterned and polka dots from labels like Jayson Brunsdon Black Label, Wayne by Wayne Cooper, Hi There from Karen Walker, sass & bide, Maticevski, Manning Cartell, Cue and Charlie Brown.
*Florals: bold and bright colours, flower patterns.

*Denim is IT as G-Star, Levi's, Diesel, Autonomy, Country Road do their best with an Aussie favourite fabric while fifty shades of ‘blue' are the colors of menswear choice this season with labels Dom Bagnato, Arthur Galan, Maddox, Autonomy and Trent Nathan making blue THE hue of the blokes season.
