Met Gala 2017: Katy Perry, Bella Hadid and all the best and worst dressed celebrities

SUPERMODEL Kendall Jenner left little to the imagination at the Met Gala, wearing a sheer dress that exposed her bum to the world.

Kendall Jenner stuns on the Met Gala red carpet

SUPERMODEL Kendall Jenner left little to the imagination at the Met Gala, wearing a see-through dress and visible G-string.

The 21-year-old was practically naked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, with a huge cut-out across her chest and stomach, and thigh-high split.

From the back, the dress was completely sheer except for her black couture G-string, designed by luxe lingerie label La Perla and “made from one piece of string”.

Kendall wasn’t the only model who had a nude moment on the cream-and-blue carpet - Bella Hadid wore a sheer crystal-embroided lace catsuit by Alexander Wang.

Speaking about her near-nude outfit, Jenner described it as “pretty sexual”.

“It’s pretty sexual but, yeah, it’s cool. It’s like, it’s very like, I don’t know. I always like something that’s a little controversial so, that’s kind of that,” Kendall said, according to Teen Vogue.

Perhaps Jenner took fashion advice from her older sister Kim Kardashian, 36, who was controversially snapped wearing a G-string in Mexico last week but sported a much more covered up outfit at the ball.

MET BALL’S MOST TALKED-ABOUT MOMENTS

WORST-DRESSED AT THE 2017 MET GALA

La Perla creative director Julia Haart said Kendall’s “entire gown is made from one piece of string”.

“It’s a very strong, very flexible, incredibly thin piece of nylon, and we’ve strung 85,000 crystals onto it,” Haart told Elle.

“Aside from her underwear ... that’s it.”

Meantime, Kendall’s sister Kylie Jenner, 20, sported a frock by Versace to the event, teamed with a short blonde peroxide ‘do.

It’s her second time attending the hot-ticket ball, where she posed with Versace designer, Donatella Versace, who wore a canary yellow dress and bizarre yellow streaks in her hair.

Katy Perry turned up in a blood-red frock — and a truly WTF face veil.

The singer, 32, went all out for the ball, of which she is co-chair, wearing a custom-made Maison Margiela Artisanal dress designed by John Galliano.

It featured a mirrored head piece with illegible writing, apparently spelling out the word “witness”, stitched across her forehead. She teamed the dramatic look with red lips, peroxide blonde hair, a silver headpiece ... and red boots.

The Met Gala is the biggest day in fashion.

Some of the world’s most stylish celebrities including Julianne Moore, the Olsen twins, and Alexa Chung attended, along with fresh faces to the event like Frances Bean Cobain, Paris Jackson and Hailey Baldwin, who sported a ballet-inspired dress by Carolina Herrera.
