Louis Evans went from bullied geek to amazing model
LOUIS Evans was tormented for his red hair and freckled face. Then his acne cleared up and he got prominent cheekbones. Now he’s an international model.
AS A child, Louis Evans was bullied for his red hair and freckled skin. Today, he is a stunning catwalk model.
Louis struggled growing up in the small town of Lowestoft, UK, with his red hair being the main focus of tormentors, who called him “Rusty”.
He struggled to find a girlfriend as he battled severe acne and after leaving school he got a dead-end job as a cold caller for an office supplies company.
“It was quite difficult growing up in a small town. People are very close-minded in Lowestoft,” he said.
“Back at home there were stereotypes about gingers and I had the wrong kind of attention.
“I didn’t let it affect me though and I tried not to let it affect my confidence.”
Then Louis turned 20, his cheekbones became more prominent and acne on his skin cleared.
The flawless-complexion ginger started getting a lot of attention for his appearance.
He moved to London after getting sick of his boring job and with the encouragement of his mother, he began to pursue a career as a model.
“I always had so much drive and ambition and energy but I never knew what to do with it.
“Nothing I did seemed to be the right thing and then I moved to London and it all clicked in to place.”
Louis was snapped up by a leading modelling agency, Booking Models, and has since appeared on the catwalks at London Fashion Week, in British Vogue and will soon head to Milan Fashion Week.
He sure showed those bullies.
