Kate Middleton’s surprising wardrobe choice
The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in London this week wearing an eye-catching outfit with one very interesting detail.
Kate Middleton can usually do no wrong in the fashion department.
But during a royal visit yesterday afternoon, the mum-of-three surprised fans when she appeared to suffer a wardrobe mishap.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, was seen wearing her $1495 purple Gucci blouse back-to-front.
Eagle-eyed fashion fans were quick to spot the fluff up thanks to the shirt’s distinctive buttons and pretty ‘pussy bow’ around the neck.
While Kate had them positioned at the front — the brand’s website has them worn at the back.
The cuffs of the blouse also appeared to be facing the wrong direction, supporting the suggestion they’d been a wardrobe mix up.
The “mistake” was spotted by a Kate fan page, who shared a side-by-side snap of Kate wearing the blouse next to a model wearing it to compare the difference.

But while some thought she may be embarrassed by the “awkward” mistake, others thought the Duchess was putting her “own stamp” on it.
“Kate Middleton put her own stamp on her £790 Gucci blouse by wearing it backwards,” one fan wrote.
While another said: “She’s making a statement.”
According to high end fashion retailer Net-a-Porter, it seems Kate did wear the item the wrong way.
The description of the blouse read: “Cut from fluid silk-crepe, this style has a loose silhouette and features fabric-covered buttons that run down the back.”
Despite her fashion choice, Kate’s solo appearance — without husband Prince William — at the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre on Tuesday went well.
During her time there, she told other mums her youngest, Prince Louis, had reached at exciting milestone at 10 months old, pulling himself up onto furniture and using his baby walker.
What do you think of the way Kate rocked her blouse? Do you think she made a fluff up or was the decision deliberate? Let us know below.
