TikTok users show off their new footlong Subway Budgy Smugglers
Aussie blokes have taken to TikTok to share videos that show off their rather unique looking budgy smugglers.
Budgy Smuggler and Subway have teamed up to create a footlong subway sandwich swimwear – and it appears they’re hot property.
TikTok users have bombarded the social media platform showing off their $60 “foot long” budge smugglers with comedian Will Gibb wasting no time modelling a pair for his 1 million followers.
He begins the hilarious video by asking fans, “do you guys wanna see my six inch,” before pulling out an actual Subway sandwich from out in front of him.
“Do these budgees make my a** look big,” he asks with a voiceover replying “yes”.
“Good,” the TikTok star responds.
Subway and Budgy Smugglers recently partnered to create the Footlong and Six-Inch cossies with some of TikTok’s most famous stars rocking the tongue-in-cheek swimwear.
Joe Woodley, known for his hilarious content, also jumped on the bandwagon, clocking thousands of ‘likes’ on his budgie video.
“That one try hard swimmer at your school swimming carnival,” he captioned the funny clip.
However, as much of a hit the swimmers have been, Subway has released the ultimate pool-toy which it believes will be just as popular.
From February 1, Aussies can spend their hot summer days floating on a giant, three metre long inflatable Footlong Sub, or rather, try and cling onto the monstrous sandwich.
Subway’s head of marketing Rodica Titeica said they think this year’s hottest item “has to be our Floating Footlong”.
“It’s seriously huge. Nothing can compete with the massive famous Subway Footlong sub, no matter how hard other (brands) try,” Rodica said.
“We are always looking to make people smile and after another emotional rollercoaster of a year peppered with lockdowns and border closures, we want to help make people’s summer just a little bit more enjoyable with family and friends.
“It’s a bit of fun – get your togs online now, then come February 1, you can complete your ultimate summer with our massive Floating Footlong.”
Available in Footlong Meatball or Six-Inch Teriyaki Chicken designs, Subway’s two types of smugglers are available to snap up on its website. Subway fans will be able to purchase their Footlong Inflatables from February 1 in-restaurant.
