Shoppers of one major department store have spotted an unusual detail in one $18 item — with some even saying it motivated them to buy the bag.
Kmart’s $18 mini crossbody tote bag has been in stores since January but one shopper recently took to social media to boast about the bag.
“Bought this bag today … it’s the perfect size for everyday use,” the woman said.
But social media users quickly drew a comparison between the bag and a farmyard animal.
“Is it meant to look like a cow?” one social media user asked.
Another said: “omg that makes it cuter.”
“It was the first thing I noticed. I just assumed it was the country gal in me,” one social media user revealed.
Another social media user added: “I didn’t want one until you made me see a cow.”
Other social media users just said they loved the budget handbag.
“I got the tan colour today, I can’t wait to use it,” one social media user revealed.
Another said: “I have seen the bag in store. It’s cute and very affordable. It would be fantastic if it folded down into the little pouch at the front something like a Longchamp tote.”
“Ohhhh I love this,” another commented.
A Kmart spokesperson revealed the bag has proved incredibly popular since it launched in stores.
“The $18 mini crossbody tote has been in stores since the end of January,” a Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au.
“Since it arrived in stores, the tote has been a popular style in the range. The design team wanted to develop a functional bag that customers could use for everyday use that would fit all the essentials.
“We love providing our customers with everyday products that they can love and cherish.”
