Racy new bikini trend explodes at Miami Swim Week 2024

The swimwear industry has unveiled a skimpy take on a classic fashion trend at Miami Swim Week – and it’s very, very tiny.

Wild new vagina-baring bikini emerges

The swimwear industry has taken a timeless wardrobe staple and given it a very raunchy makeover – resulting in a racy new bikini trend.

Rosettes, a flower-shaped decoration once associated with high society, have recently made a huge comeback.

The last time the bold accessory was popular was back in the 90s and early noughties, making it another Y2K comeback trend enjoying a revival recently, along with dresses over jeans, flared leggings and the controversial visible G-string.

But while many fashion brands are embracing the return of rosettes, embracing the rose-like design on tops, pants and even hair accessories, the swimwear industry has decided to take the trend up a notch.

Multiple runway shows at Miami Swim Week 2024 have revealed designers are using the statement flower to fashion skimpy togs – and the result is very racy.

During the Ema Savahl catwalk performance, many models walked wearing a jaw-dropping two-piece, which had rosettes placed across the wearer’s bust and bottom.

The eye-popping swimmers were held up with a very thin piece of silver fabric, which was fashioned into a unique G-string at the back.

As well as being modelled in pink, the mini-swimmers also came in blue, proving the US-based designer is confident this is the style of the season.

Milus Rose, a “luxury” swimwear brand, also featured “rosette bikinis” during its catwalk show.

One model was snapped strutting her stuff down the runway in a pink micro bikini made up of string bottoms and miniature flowers that covered her nipples.

While it looks super cute, its ability to withstand the demands of swimming is doubtful.

Another model showed off a similar design created by Diva Boutique at the week-long swimwear event, which is known for predicting and setting the trends of the upcoming year, meaning we’ll be seeing the insane cossie at Aussie beaches very soon.

Her cossie featured two daisy-like flowers instead of a traditional bra top which were worn with a pair of matching blush-pink bottoms.

It appears to offer very little support, but definitely showed off the wearer’s bust, so whether or not it is the perfect bikini for your upcoming holiday really depends on what look you’re going for.

Diva Boutique also showed off an oversized rosette bikini design in a lightning blue shade.

The model wore the flower bra with a matching blue “loincloth” pair of bottoms, an extreme micro trend that first emerged at the annual swimwear event back in 2022.

She also teamed the micro-cossie with a large necklace that provides arguably more coverage to her chest that the bikini itself.

What do you think of the new “rosette bikini” trend? Would you wear it?
