Pippa Middleton has made an unusual request of her wedding guests, according to reports
PIPPA Middleton is rumoured to have made an unusual wardrobe request of guests. Now people are wondering if it’s a trend.
SHE made the ultimate bridesmaid, but in nine days Pippa Middleton will take centre stage at her own lavish wedding.
On May 20, she will walk down the aisle to marry hedge fund manager James Matthews, six years after wearing that incredible figure-hugging Alexander McQueen gown at big sister Kate’s nuptials.
Pippa, 33, and James, 41, will exchange vows in front of 350 guests at the 12th century St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berks. It is estimated the society ceremony of the year will cost £250,000 ($440,000) — 10 times the UK average.
Reports in the UK press today state that “the most surprising rumour yet to percolate about the event has seeped through Twitter and into our feeds”.
People on social media are saying that guests at Pippa’s wedding have been asked to bring a second outfit for the reception. Now people are asking whether this demand “is a trend”.

While it isn’t unusual for brides to change into something more comfortable for the later part of their big day, most believe it is “a tad ridiculous and over the top” to ask guests to think about a second tier ensemble too.
As one commenter on Twitter said, “it’s hard enough to nail the perfect one outfit for a high-profile, society wedding, let alone two”.
Besides the expense, there are also the logistics of where such a large number of guests get changed.

So who will have to come up with two outfit options?
Despite rumours that Pippa planned a “no ring, no bring” policy — meaning no unmarried plus-ones — Prince Harry’s American girlfriend Meghan Markle, 35, has been invited.
Pippa has also bent the rule for her brother James’s girlfriend, former TV presenter Donna Air, 37. She will be bringing her teenage daughter Freya, whose father is casino and zoo magnate Damian Aspinall.
Along with Pippa’s parents, Michael and Carole, sister Kate and William, other family guests will include fiance James’s nieces, Lily, 17, and Rosa Mackie, 15.
And if their love of social media selfies is anything to go by, the teens will grab their fair share of the attention.
Celebrity friends believed to be attending the wedding include tennis star Roger Federer, his wife Mirka and TV explorer Ben Fogle.
