Melania Trump steps out in Sicily wearing coat worth nearly $70K
MELANIA Trump’s latest wardrobe choice — a designer coat by Dolce & Gabbana — has been slammed online for costing almost $70K.
MELANIA Trump finally got a chance on Friday to show some fashion flash.
The first lady stepped out in Sicily wearing a colourful jacket made by Dolce & Gabbana that retails for more than $68K, according to the New York Post.
She wore the floral jacket with a matching clutch while having lunch with other G7 leaders’ spouses at the Elephants Palace, a historic building that houses Sicily’s Town Hall.
Melania’s splashy clothing marks a departure from the mostly black wardrobe she’s been sporting during President Trump’s first international trip.
Dolce & Gabbana has been attacked for dressing the first lady, but the Italian designers have shrugged off the criticism.

On Friday, Stefano Gabbana posted a video and several pictures of the first lady in the jacket on Instagram, captioning the video with a “THANK YOU” and several heart emojis.
The “3D flower” jacket is not yet available in most stores.
But the high-end retail website Moda Operandi has already sold out of the item.
Buyers who managed to snare one were required to make a $25,750 deposit.
