Martha Kalifatidis shares tiny bikini photo on Instagram

Martha Kalifatidis has shown off the results of her health kick in a new selfie – but there was one thing in particular that grabbed fans’ attention.

It turns out we’ve been wearing our bikini tops all wrong.

At least according to Martha Kalifatidis who posted a selfie wearing a triangle bikini top upside-down on Sunday.

The former reality star wore a blue string bikini from Sommer Swim which showed off her toned figure, posting a photo on her Instagram with the caption: “Fresh content … me in my room taking pics.”

Martha’s followers were quick to praise the reality star saying she looked “unreal” and has “seriously got the Greek gods on your side” referencing her Greek heritage.

But others were curious to know why she was wearing her bikini top the wrong way around, with one person commenting: “Bikini is upside down.”

“Gorgeous but is the bikini top upside down?” another person asked, to which Martha replied: “No that’s the design.”

Plenty were still sold on the swimsuit, saying she looked “gorgeous” in it.

“Love that bikini on you Martha,” one person wrote.

Martha has started 2021 on a health kick, going gluten and dairy-free while also taking part in her boyfriend Michael Brunelli’s TruFit 30-Day ‘new year, new you’ challenge.

“If you see me flexing in a bikini that’s because I’ve worked out for two weeks in a row and now I think I’m Naomi Campbell,” she joked in a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Monday.

Martha has more than 385,000 followers on Instagram where she frequently posts bikini photos and underwear selfies.

But last June, Martha revealed how a nasty comment from a troll calling her “tubby” left her feeling deeply unhappy about how she looked.

“I wouldn’t get changed in front of the mirror because I didn’t want to see myself. I just realised I was in a really bad headspace; it just triggered something,” she told news.com.au at the time.

“I knew that I was obviously feeling my clothes were a bit tighter, we haven’t been to the gym, our lives have changed since lockdown.”

She said the thoughts in her head had become “not healthy” and she needed to take a stand.

“The dialogue in my head was so bad – like I want liposuction, I’m so fat, I’m not eating and I’m going to go for 10km walks everyday,” she said.

And then I’m just like this is ridiculous, it’s not necessary, it’s not healthy.”

In response Martha decided to share an unfiltered selfie of herself, explaining how she had been struggling with “self-loathing”.

“So here’s a ‘f**k you’ to that comment. A photo of me today, unfiltered, unedited and a few kilos heavier,” Martha captioned the selfie.
