Kate Moss’ lookalike daughter Lila makes fashion runway debut

Lila Moss made her runway debut walking for one of the world’s biggest brands — and looks just like her famous supermodel mother.

Ideal women's body types throughout history

Kate Moss’ daughter Lila has made her runway debut, walking the catwalk for Italian fashion house Miu Miu.

The 18-year-old is the same age her famous mother was when she walked her first runway in 1992.
Lila appeared on the catwalk for Miu Miu on Tuesday, with the guests virtual-only because of the coronavirus pandemic.

She opened and closed the runway, writing on Instagram afterwards that it was “the dreamiest show”.

The famous teen walked down the runway in a patterned halter outfit before taking the plunge in a strappy dress with statement bow.

Lila wore her hair back in a simple updo and sported minimal makeup with just a hint of a smokey eye.

Lila, whose father is British publisher Jefferson Hack, uses her famous mum's last name Moss as she makes her foray into the fashion world.

She is signed to Kate’s modelling agency and has been the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty since 2018.

Kate has previously said she supports anything her daughter wants to do in the modelling world.

“I am leaving it up to her,” she said, according to People.

“I will support her obviously. I will be her momager.! She can, if she wants to. I will support her in anything she wants to do.”

Lila said Kate had been instrumental in helping her prepare for the modelling world, telling InStyle last year she had told her to “be polite”.

“Before shooting my first campaign, she told me, ‘Listen and do what they tell you to do’,” Lila said.

“But I think the best lesson she has taught me is to ‘work hard, be polite to everyone I meet, and to always make sure you’re comfortable with whatever you’re doing’.”

Lila joins other children of celebrities and supermodels by going into the modelling industry.

Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber and Yolanda Foster’s daughters Bella and Gigi Hadid are some of the biggest names in the fashion world right now.

“They are inspired by their mum’s legacies, but have shown that they each have different and separate paths from their parents,” Lila said.

“Even though we might carry the same last name, we have to work hard to gain trust and respect in the industry. In the end, we just want to make our parents proud.”

Kate was discovered by a modelling scout at the age of 14 and went on to become one of the most popular models of the 1990s.

She appeared in a now-famous ad campaign for Calvin Klein alongside Mark Wahlberg in 1992 and dated Johnny Depp from 1994 to 1998.

The British model bucked the fashion trend for taller curvy models at the time, with her 1.7m height and petite frame labelled “heroin chic”.
