Dead con-woman toy boy’s $350k fantasy

The husband of fraudster Melissa Caddick has been photographed salivating over a taste of the luxury life he once enjoyed while working in Sydney.

The husband of fraudster Melissa Caddick got a taste of the glamorous life he once enjoyed as he drooled over a hot pink Porsche while mingling with models and influencers at Australian Fashion Week.

Anthony Koletti, a hairdresser and part-time DJ, was back at work with the Revlon Professional beauty team for Wednesday’s Karla Spetic runway show – just months after he abandoned his multimillion-dollar claim on his wife’s estate. It follows reports he’s facing considerable legal costs.

Dressed in all-black and surrounded by suitcases of salon products, Mr Koletti was in good spirits as he laughed with colleagues and observed the stylish crowd on the third day of the annual fashion event.

After admiring a pink Porsche 911 Targa from afar, the hairdresser made a beeline for the $350,000 luxury vehicle that was on display and crouched down to take photos on his phone.

The $390,000 Audi R8 V10 convertible he once drove was seized by liquidators and auctioned off for $295,000 in a bid to claw back cash to repay victims who handed over their life savings in Mrs Caddick’s Ponzi scheme.

Mr Koletti was forced to downgrade to a Hyundai i30. At the time, it was reported he’d told friends he was “ashamed” to be seen driving the white hire rental vehicle.

“He said it’s an embarrassment, he’s ashamed to be seen in a hire car and says Melissa never stole any money from clients and never spent any on him so why should he lose everything,” a source close to Mr Koletti told The Daily Telegraph.

In November, a Federal Court judge ordered receivers to seize millions of dollars in items that were purchased by Mrs Caddick. Mr Koletti had claimed he was entitled to a portion of his wife’s proceeds of crime, but was only allowed to keep a small number of luxury items, including a Breitling Navitimer chronograph watch, a Louis Vuitton digital wrist watch, a Canturi 18-carat cross pendant and his 18-carat Canturi wedding ring.

More of the con-woman’s designer possessions were auctioned off by Shapiro’s in February – including lavish handbags and dresses by Valentino, Gucci, Chanel and Oscar De La Renta.

Caddick vanished in November 2020, a day after the Australian Securities and Investments Commission raided her Dover Heights over a $23m Ponzi scheme which she used to fund her glamorous lifestyle.

A coroner found that Caddick was dead but could not determine her manner or cause of death after a foot washed up on the NSW south coast three months after the fraudster went missing.
