Aussie brand Bronx & Banco stuns NYFW with see-through outfits
An Australian label has taken centre stage at New York Fashion Week with a show that featured a lot of flesh and revealing cut outs.
At this year’s New York Fashion Week all eyes were on Aussie label Bronx & Banco for its daring outfits.
While the small Aussie brand may be one of the newer additions to the NYFW schedule, it definitely left a lasting impression with its revealing creations, including a sheer, see-through black dress.
Bronx & Branco, who were one of the select few brands who decided to have a live presentation at this year’s Spring show, had its models hit the runway where the adage “less is more” was well and truly embraced.

The colourful collection of dresses on a socially distanced-runway show held on the roof of Spring Studios featured plenty of skin.
“The show looked hot and I can’t wait to see everything in person!” one fan who attended the show wrote on Instagram.
One model was photographed wearing a semi-naked, skin-tight, sheer black dress accompanied by a matching turban, and minimal gold jewellery, while another was seen in a crisscross halter dress which showed a daring amount of cleavage and side and underboob.
While first reserved to swimwear, the underboob look has now moved into clothing and lingerie, with celebrities overseas well and truly embracing the unique trend.
Leading the way are Emily Ratajkowski, Miley Cyrus, Kendall Jenner and Australia’s Tammy Hembrow, who have all rocked the daring look in Instagram posts last summer.

Natalie De’Banco, founder and design director of the eclectic women’s fashion label — Bronx & Banco — opened her first store in Bondi with the aim to fill in a gap for affordable and high-end clothing.
She also wanted it to be reflective of her own personal style — sophisticated, sexy and playful which was definitely achieved in the brand’s 2021 Spring collection.

The label is known for using “flirty silhouettes and feminine fabrics” and there was plenty of that on display during its NYFW show.
One model was photographed posing in a revealing yellow ensemble that showed off her toned tummy. The long, flowy skirt had a side slit and was paired with a strapless top and off-the-shoulder puffy sleeves.
Other designs included classy blazers and matching pants or shorts, but without a bra or top underneath, while other looks showed off an ample amount of skin.
Some of the models were seen wearing similar outfits featuring unique cuts that showed off most their chest and stomachs.
Another model was captured wearing a see-through copper dress with a plunging neckline providing for ample cleavage.
Two models wore blazers with pants and shorts combining sexy with sophisticated as they strut down the runway wearing nothing underneath the jackets.
One of the looks was paired with the brand’s signature head piece and sunglasses, while the other, blue two-piece had matching gold jewellery and handbag.
Bronx and Banco has gone on to become a wardrobe staple for both national and international celebrities including The Pussycat Dolls, Shelley Craft, Sonia Kruger, Tammin Sursok and Kylie Gillies.
Today, thee label has more than 200 stockists worldwide, across New Zealand, USA, Spain, Greece and Russia, with the brand’s flagship store currently located in Paddington.
