Net-A-Porter is selling the most impractical denim jacket ever with sleeves down to your knees
FASHION has hit a new low — literally. A new denim jacket features sleeves so ridiculous those rocking the look will have to wear it with extreme caution.
KEEPING up with the latest trends can be a hard task.
And the job gets even harder when you have to wade through fashions asking yourself: is this a work of art or just a bit ridiculous?
The latest head-scratcher is a denim jacket with outrageously long sleeves from high-end brand Y/Project.
The item is available on Net-A-Porter and on their website the store wrote: “Y/Project’s denim jacket is designed with dramatic long sleeves — the brand’s exaggerated silhouettes are favoured by style influencers like Chloë Sevigny and Gigi Hadid.
“Wear yours with the arms pushed up, letting the cuffs of a crisp white shirt peek through.”
The unusual item doesn’t come cheap either, with a whopping price tag of $730.
A picture of the jacket was tweeted by lifestyle vlogger Kate La Vie with the caption: “Net a porter giving the people what they want.”
Followers of the internet star were quick to add their own comments, with one saying: “Mr Tickle would approve.”
While another joked: “Is this a Canadian straight jacket?”
Others suggested that Stretch Armstrong would be the perfect shopper for this latest design.
It’s not the first time Net-a-Porter have stocked questionable clothing choices.
