Meghan Markle dishes out more than $4k on pink outfit
MEGHAN Markle’s lavish wardrobe continued as she stepped out for Nelson Mandela exhibition in an outfit worth more than $4000.
EVER since her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has been swapping her previous California-casual style for looks that nod to her new homeland of Great Britain.
For a visit to London’s new Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition on Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex paid homage to perhaps the most iconic piece of British attire: the trench coat. Her sleeveless version, by Canadian label Nonie, retails for $1115.
Markle accessorised her blush-toned, double-breasted dress with a matching Mulberry “Clifton” bag ($1288), Dior “Essence 70” pumps ($901) and white quartz stud earrings by Birks ($610). A simple gold bracelet and rings finished off the look.
Since marrying Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has wasted no time in spending big on her wardrobe.
According to The Sun, in just over eight weeks, Meghan has attended 16 different events requiring 16 outfits, including Royal Ascot and a tour of Ireland.
At each occasion, the Duchess chose a completely new look and once we started to tot it all up, the figure came in around the $285,000 mark.
While she has on occasion worn a bargain buy (think back to that £29.50 ($A52) M&S fascinator), in general Meghan has a penchant for designer items including Givenchy, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta and Chanel.
