Women praise MAFS’ Domenica Calarco fashion collaboration
Women have been praising Domenica Calarco’s latest move after her exit from the popular dating show, something she describes as “heartwarming”.
Australian women are raving about Domenica Calarco’s new clothing line – praising the MAFS contestant for her “amazing” Showpo collaboration.
The reality TV star recently announced she had partnered with the online clothing outlet to curate a selection of 50 pieces – the Domenica Calarco X Showpo edit – with shoppers taking to social media to share snaps wearing the items.
“Seeing real, everyday women that choose to spend their hard earned money on the clothes that I chose for Showpo as part of my edit is honestly the greatest honour,” Dom told news.com.au.
“Seeing how women of all shapes and sizes style their outfits, and that’s one thing I love about Showpo is that it gives such a great range of sizing all the way up to 22, so you can have everyone wearing these incredible fashion pieces.”
The 28-year-old, who has become a face of female empowerment in the aftermath of the naked photo scandal on the popular Channel 9 show, said she’s loved seeing people wearing her items since they launched last week.
“When I get tagged in photos on Instagram and seeing people go out of their way to support me, it’s so heartwarming,” Dom added.
On social media, many shoppers have been sharing pictures of themselves in the items, which range from $44.95 to $119.95.
One woman declared the $69.95 flared ‘plisse’ pants, made with a loose fitting fabric and an elasticated waist, were “amazing” – while another described the asymmetric cut out maxi dress as “super sexy”.
“The collection is about taking pieces and wearing them with things you already have in your wardrobe,” Dom explained.
“I wanted it to be easy for people to dress up or dress down and be versatile.”
The star officially celebrated her new collection at an intimate event in Sydney on Monday night, where guests ate authentic Italian food in a nod to Dom’s heritage.
Among the familiar faces in attendance were her MAFS “husband” Jack Millar, MAFS bestie Ella Ding and a string of former Love Island contestants – including Tina Provis, Courtney Stubbs and Jess Velkovski.
As well as her “insane” collaboration with Showpo, Dom said she was gearing up to launch a new podcast with Ella soon, after discovering her no-nonsense approach resonates with Australian women.
“Ella and I are doing a podcast, launching soon in a matter of weeks,” she said.
“It’s going to be a space to talk about issues a lot of people have been shying away from and discussing them in a way that’s respectful,” she revealed.
